Dear Head Start Parent(s):

Welcome to the 2022-2023 Child Development Services Head Start program year.  We are pleased to welcome you to the Head Start Family!  Our Head Start program has so much to offer and we are anxious to share our many activities, opportunities, and services. 

Our teaching staff will be contacting each family to set up a time to visit with you and your child on or before August 22th.  This will provide an opportunity for you and your child to get acquainted with your child’s teacher as well as share information and get any questions you may have answered. 

Our first day of school is scheduled for Tuesday, August 23th.  As discussed at enrollment, before your child begins class, we need all parents to attend a “Parent Orientation” to receive important information regarding our program, our policies, and how the center operates.  “Parent Orientations” are scheduled for:

Thursday, August 18th at 5:30 pm or Monday, August 22th at 5:30pm- English Sessions

Monday, August 22th at 10:00am – Spanish Session

If you cannot make either of these dates, please contact the school to make other arrangements for

Parent Orientation.

Orientations will be held at the CDS Head Start Center. You only need to attend one of these sessions and children do not need to come to this orientation, as it will be an hour of adult interaction.  Head Start requires that each child have a current physical exam and dental exam so please bring your child’s physical and dental exam and any updated immunizations with you.

Child Development Services Head Start is located inside the Welcome Home building at 607 Savage Ave. The only supplies your child will need for school is a change of clothing.
