La Junta CDS wrapped up a fun week celebrating the Week of the Young Child with an art show on Thursday, April 6th. Children from Head Start and Early Head Start displayed their work in the gym for families and the community to view. Work Together Wednesday @ La Junta CDS: We had the pleasure of hosting members and leaders of our community as special guests in classrooms today! Shirley Perea, former Education Manager for CDS, provided an art activity for the kids. City Council Members Paul Velasquez, Chandra Ochoa, and Elaine McIntyre, Otero College President Dr. Alvarez, and Otero County Economic Development & Special Project Manager Danelle Berg, were guest readers for classrooms.
