Please be sure to check your child's backpack for important information going home. We beginning to see a lot more illnesses in our center. We have sent home the "How sick is too sick" and other important health info. Please be diligent about handwashing and knowing when to keep your child home if they are not feeling well. We are following all precautions here in our center to do the best we can to reduce transmission of illnesses. Thank you for your cooperation.
We will have early release on Thursday, October 19th @ 12NOON. Bus will load at noon and follow the normal route. Please be sure to make arrangements for child pick-up.
Parent/Teacher conferences will begin then and continue until Friday, October 20th. If you have not scheduled with your child's teacher please call the center after 3:15pm to schedule ASAP! 719-384-3190. Thank you!

We will be celebrating HOMECOMING this following week. Join us by participating in our dress up days. Monday is NEON day, show us your brightest colors. Tuesday is FARMER day and Wednesday is SCHOOL SPIRIT day, come to school and show us your school colors.

First of all, I would like to thank all the parents for your IN-KIND contributions this past month. All of the returned homework time documentation sheets have really added up. Please, don't forget that you can also turn in your monthly activity calendar with signature and time spent on each activity. Be sure to sign and date all forms and that you have an exact amount of time documented. Thank you for your continued help in making our program GREAT!
Good Monday morning! We want to let our families know that we will begin health screenings for all children tomorrow, 9/12/23. We will do hearing, vision, lead, & hemoglobin screens. Please ensure that your child is in attendance. If you have any questions regarding the screeners, please call the center. Thank you.

Attention Manzanola HEAD START parents: Your first opportunity to attend one of our Parent Orientations will be TOMORROW, August 3rd at 9am at the Manzanola Center. Otero College Child Development Services in Manzanola hosted an art show as part of their Week of the Young Child celebration! These Head Start children are talented! Great job to everyone!
Head Start families: Head Start stands firm on celebrating our seasons and not focusing on holidays that some families choose not to observe. On Monday, we will celebrate the characters that make us laugh and smile by wearing clothing (t-shirts, pajamas) that highlight their favorite character. No costumes will be allowed and please keep all accessories at home (crowns, wands, swords, masks, etc.). We look forward to a day of fun and continued learning for our children!
