🌩️ Important Ripple Project Update 🌩️

For the safety of our children, families, staff, and community members, tonight's Ripple Project Pool Event at the Wipeout has been canceled due to active tornado warnings and severe weather conditions in our area.

While we are disappointed to miss this opportunity to gather together, the safety and well-being of our families must always come first.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and support. Please stay weather-aware, follow local emergency guidance, and most importantly, stay safe this evening.

Thank you for being a valued part of the Ripple Project family. ❀️

Woodruff Memorial Library's 2026 Summer Reading Program Kickoff is just around the corner! This year's theme is "Unearth A Story," with a focus on dinosaurs, paleontology, and archaeology. The library has an exciting lineup of programs planned to bring fun and learning to our community throughout the summer.

The library's SRP Teen Volunteer Team includes 15 volunteers who will be assisting with programming activities. Additionally, La Junta City Transit will be transporting three daycares to the library each week, providing greater access to summer learning opportunities for local children.

Woodruff Memorial Library would like to recognize its sponsors, WML Friends and the Early Childhood Council, and thank the many community partners who are providing free programming this summer.

Citizenship Classes with Claudia Terrazas will begin soon and continue through November 9. Please see the attached flyer for additional information.

There are several other events and activities scheduled this month. Please review the attached calendar for a complete listing of programs and opportunities available through Woodruff Memorial Library.

🌎✨ Last Thursday, Manzanola Head Start celebrated Earth Day in a fun and meaningful way!

A big thank you to parent Jessica Mills from Arkansas Valley Water Conservancy District for joining us. She spent time with our kids planting chili peppers 🌱 and sharing a special story with them.

Hands-on experiences like these help our children connect with nature and learn the importance of caring for our planet. We’re so grateful for the support of our families and community! πŸ’š
