Due to dangerously cold temperatures and wind chill factors, Otero College Child Development Services centers in Lamar, Las Animas, La Junta, Rocky Ford, Manzanola and Boone will have delayed starts on Tuesday, Jan. 16. Staff will report by 9 a.m. School will begin at 9:30 a.m. Please stay warm!
Attention CDS families: Due to bus issues related to the cold weather, Rocky Ford Grand Valley is on a one-hour delay and Manzanola is on a two-hour delay this morning. Buses will run but will be delayed. If you choose to drive your child to the center at the normal time, staff will be available.
Attention CDS families: Lamar Center will be on a 2-hour delay Tuesday for children and a 1-hour delay for Lamar staff.
La Junta, Las Animas, Rocky Ford, Manzanola and Boone centers will resume regular hours. Transportation will run as normal at those centers that provide transportation.

Otero College Child Development Services hosted the Tryke Races Saturday in La Junta. The event was part of La Junta Chamber of Commerce's Early Settlers Day celebration and sponsored by DeBourgh Manufacturing. CDS gave participating children helmets, knee pads and elbow pads.
