The Migrant and Seasonal Head Start team was rocking the day away Saturday in Fowler during the town's annual Missouri Day celebration. Santiago M. and his Early Head Start friends recently attended an end-of-year celebration at the Pueblo Zoo. Families toured the Zoo, participated in a scavenger hunt and enjoyed a lunch provided by Otero College Child Development Services and community partners.

Otero College Child Development Services in La Junta recently held year-end celebrations with children performing for their family and friends and sharing their artwork and projects! Children in Yolanda Valdez's class also celebrated their teacher who is retiring after 19 years! Congratulations Yolanda Valdez on your retirement from Head Start. Thank you for the difference you made in children's lives!




Our health team knows that health and physical development are crucial for early learning opportunities. As managers and nurses, they make sure local Head Start programs provide safe and healthy learning experiences indoors and outdoors. They work daily to make sure all children receive health screenings and nutritious meals and that all families are connected with medical, dental and mental health services. Thank you to InspirationField for your generous donation of clothes and shoes for the Community Baby Shower planned for Monday in Rocky Ford! We will be giving away diapers, wipes, clothing and great information from our Community Partners! Hope to see you all there!






Our team picked up four pallets of diapers today to be given away at Monday's Community Baby Shower in Rocky Ford. That's enough diapers to give 50 diapers to 500 children! We also received baby wipes. All items were donated by WeeCycle from Aurora. A big thank you to WeeCycle and many other businesses who have provided donations. Be sure to join us Monday in Rocky Ford!
